When everything just falls in place perfectly you know it's the divine working through us.. . This lovely lady said she never goes to the 4th Ave. festival in Tucson. She said she hasn't bought anything there in years. She was there before it really opened, luckily I got there early too. When I told her the story of this rabbit she fell in love. It was painted on the day my nephew was suppose to be born. It's called The Divine Within Us. It celebrates that we are all divine spirits living in our human bodies and literally symbolizes the little divine baby inside my nieces belly. I told her I sent this rabbit as a guide to help the baby in it's transition. The baby came out just great FYI! It was really beautiful colors and was on a reclaimed cabinet door a la Meg Harper style. I love when life works like this - she loved everything about it. It's like I did an animal commission for her of this colorful, fun rabbit and didn't even know it. She sent me this pic of it on her wall at home. Blessings my friend! <br />Meg Harperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07639701282169946667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360991213657703323.post-10170514717692324322019-05-29T16:08:00.001-07:002019-05-29T16:08:45.695-07:00Get A Hat And See My Mule<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Getting out to smell the desert poppies with two of my favorite friends! If you were really quiet on the hike you could hear the constant low hum of the bees, made me happy. This desert girl doesn't get the opportunity to play in the snow very often!! I got plenty of this white stuff in my youth growing up in upstate NY, so it brings me back to my childhood for sure. I loved snowshoeing, who knew? I was all caught up in the mystery of animal tracks and being able to explore without a trail! That cold fresh air feels sooooooo good. I loved White Mountain Lake and the beautiful shadow the tree made. You can barely see the snow covered picnic table in the frozen lake too. I loved my snowy transition from 2018 to 2019. It's a fabulous year already and it just started!!! P.S. I also loved driving home to 60 degree weather and saying good bye to the cold, just sayin'. <br />Meg Harperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07639701282169946667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360991213657703323.post-55939699008913750952018-05-11T13:31:00.001-07:002018-05-11T13:31:18.786-07:00Over 1000 paintings sold9 years ago if you had ever told me I would be sitting at my computer writing about how I sold over 1000 paintings I wouldn't believe you. It has been a roller coaster, a God send, an adventure and a miracle!!! I am clear on my purpose of bringing joy and light to the world. I am not shy about it anymore. My ripple is growing and it feels so good, a win/win for my collectors and myself. I am grateful for this journey. Thank you angels, friends, family, everyone who has helped me along the way!!! I love when people share where they've hung my paintings. This one of a kind clock turned art has the perfect home above the front door. Has THE cutest mouse on it named Hick Dickory. This lovely woman giggled hysterically when she walked in my booth and walked straight over to this painting. When I saw the resemblance we knew we needed to capture this on film. It's called "Future So Bright" and it ended up as a Christmas present from a husband to a wife in Bend, Oregon. It was painted on a cabinet door with corrugated tin as the frame. My inspiration was spurred by the presidential election. I wanted to create a future so bright for our country regardless of who won!!! So fun : )<br />Meg Harperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07639701282169946667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360991213657703323.post-81437050340462505932016-08-23T13:58:00.001-07:002016-08-23T13:58:18.885-07:00Studio on the fly in Bozeman, MT<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love painting from my studio on the fly!! It's so exhilarating to be outside in the elements painting and hearing the birds and wind. Sometimes storms come in and it's pretty challenging . . . Mother Nature speaks to me all the time. This wild black beauty was painted in Bozeman, MT this past July with a view of the mountains in distance. You can find it on my website "Passion is Powerful Medicine". </div>

Tory and I recently had the opportunity to go to Wilson Lake outside of Prescott, AZ and get a little paddle boarding excitement. It was such a beautiful lake to explore with our BFFs from Sedona, Wendy and Larry. I LOVE ARIZONA. Such a soul nourishing trip. I always feel rejuvenated after being in nature, aaaaahhhhhhh. I love my studio! It brings me great joy to face a huge bay window facing north. I've watched the children in my neighborhood walk to and from school for over 7 years. Watched them grow up. Some artists see the finished piece before they even begin. Every color, texture, piece of the puzzle is mapped and ready for them to complete before they even begin. They have done sketches and color choices and really decided how it's going to go so there is just the actual doing to complete. Not me. I enjoy starting with whatever piece I get inspiration from first. It could be their eyes or starting with the darkest color or whatever I feel most definite on. Then the rest kind of unfolds as it may taking turns left and right whenever the mood strikes. It flows, I flow with it. Taking the time to just watch snow fall and birds fly especially this time of year is therapeutic for me. I was fortunate enough to do both up in the White Mountain Lakes area over the holidays. So peaceful and soothing to the soul. This shot is January 1st, 2015 right when the sun was coming up. Ahhhhhhh, you can feel the wonder and the cold crisp blanket of snow. Thought this was an appropriate post for an almost Halloween spooky tree moment. Tory and I participated in an art festival in Tucson last weekend and we were able to finally go to Sabino Canyon for a hike to help celebrate our 23rd Anniversary. What a stunning place, especially after a storm : ). We live in such an amazing state! Go out and enjoy it!!! <br />Meg Harperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07639701282169946667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360991213657703323.post-37266787838262642602014-07-10T10:18:00.002-07:002014-07-10T10:18:50.515-07:00Streaming Goodness<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

I just love the randomness of life and the colorful people who live it full out. I love this man!! Elvis put on this outfit and went out in public to have fun, make people feel good and who cares what else! He sure made me smile and I enjoyed watching him brighten the lives of others. Let's all do that as often as possible and let Elvis continue to inspire us. This super old adobe house was in Tubac, AZ. I visit this town once a year in the winter and I am always amazed at the ominous nature of the forest in winter there. This sweet child met me this summer in Jackson, Wy. at an art festival and absolutely fell in love with my fabulous reclaimed cigar box purses. Much to her dismay her mom would not let her get one at the time and found out I would be in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta art festival and she'd have to wait. Her mom told me she had mentioned me and the purse several times after. They came to the Balloon Fiesta and hunted me down and mom was relieved to find me needless to say! Yippeee she picked a great one, Mexican Wolf with a woven pop top strap and all!!<br />

This photo represents the first two pieces of art added to Crested Buttes Schools permanent collection. I am so grateful "Universe of Peace" was chosen to be one of the first! The panel was 4 students from 5th grade to seniors who walked the show and picked out the art to be hung in their school. This is Juliette (who helps run the festival) on the left who was making the official presentation of what they purchased and the kids who chose on the right. What fun and a first for me! I was in the parking lot of my hotel in Topeka, Kansas when this gorgeous four legged girl came up to greet me. She was interested in being my friend but with distance at first. She followed me into the lobby of the hotel and we became immediate bffs playing for over an hour. No tags, no collar, no trace. Roger, the hotels sales manager and my other new bff is a huge advocate for animals. He heard of our new friend and drove an hour out of his way to pick her up and bring her to the humane society and promptly named her Meg. She is sooooo sweet and has not been adopted yet. My heart is heavy thinking of her. I thought it might help so share this story, maybe you know someone in Topeka who wants an adorable new bff. I sure hope so. Roger, thanks for all your visits, treats, and walks with Meg. How can you resist this face? Why does my heart sing when I see this wall of color? Why do I feel alive when I am around color? First, think of everything being made of energy and vibrations. You, me, the plants, the sky, music, your dog, all vibrate at a frequency of energy. When humans vibrate at a high frequency we are said to be state of joy or feeling good. Any self help book will tell you exercise, laughter, and being in nature lift our vibration just to name a few. Well, turns out colors have vibrations too. Very muted colors have low vibrations like tans, greys, etc. And saturated colors like the above have very high vibrations and that translates to feeling good around them. That's why I choose to use bright colors in my paintings, to lift people up, to help heighten our vibrations. So, in a round about way you could say my paintings are therapy for the soul! Love it! </div>

This is a great example of series of 24 unique prints available on megharper.com and at art festivals on various flooring and cabinet materials. We are PRINTING on marble, travertine, Pergo, porceline and cabinet materials to create an a more rustic/contemporary, 3D, one of a kind, already framed, doesn't look like a print, print! The backing is fauxed and made from cement siding and the tin is from a barn roof in Missouri. They are UV protected and sealed so you can also hang them under a covered patio. What a story to tell!! This jackrabbit image was inspired after a trip to Yosemite National Park. It's called Hop To It and it's a blend of my most favorite forest colors. Just click on the drop down menu where the paper prints are on the website and see if it's an option, they range from $125 to $175. This rabbit was chosen as a new print through a recent contest through Facebook, thanks to everyone who participated. Because these materials are all reclaimed this delicious series won't last forever, so if you love it buy them now! Meg Harperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07639701282169946667noreply@blogger.com0
